Christopher James Mepham, detto Chris (Londra, 5 novembre 1997) è un calciatore gallese, difensore del Sunderland, in prestito dal Bournemouth, e della nazionale gallese.

Carriera

modificaCresciuto nei settori giovanili di Chelsea e Brentford[3], ha esordito con la prima squadra delle Api il 7 gennaio 2017, nella partita di FA Cup vinta per 5-1 contro l'Exeter City.[4] Il 18 settembre rinnova fino al 2022.[5]
A gennaio 2019 decide di rescindere il suo contratto che lo legava al club e si trasferisce per 8 milioni di euro al Bournemouth.
Il 30 agosto 2024 viene ceduto in prestito al Sunderland.[6][7]
Nazionale
modificaHa esordito con la nazionale under-21 gallese il 1º settembre 2017, in occasione della partita vinta 0-3 contro la Svizzera, valida per le qualificazioni all'Europeo 2019, giocando da titolare l'intero match.[8]
Il debutto con la nazionale maggiore è invece avvenuto il 22 marzo 2018, nell'amichevole vinta per 0-6 contro la Cina, in cui ha sostituito al 70º minuto Ben Davies.[9][10][11]
